Corporate document translation
Sworn translations of corporate documents between German and Greek, for cross-border transactions, company formation and compliance.
If the PIO or another authority referred you to a sworn translator, you are in the right place. The Press and Information Office no longer issues translations, but it publishes the Register of Sworn Translators, where you can verify our entry under No. 094. You will see the terms sworn, certified or official translation. They mean the same thing.

When you need a sworn translation of a corporate document
A sworn translation of corporate documents is often required for the formation or registration of companies, the opening of bank accounts, participation in tenders, cooperation with foreign businesses or the submission of documents to public authorities.
Requirements differ depending on the body or authority where the documents will be submitted.
Apostille and legalisation
In some cases an Apostille or another form of legalisation of the document may be required before the sworn translation.
These requirements are set by the competent authority or the body where the document will be submitted, and they differ by country and by purpose of use.
Where your document carries an Apostille or another official legalisation, this is included in the sworn translation as well.
Consistency in corporate terminology
Accurate rendering of corporate and legal terminology matters greatly in cross-border transactions. Terms relating to the legal form of companies, corporate bodies, official certificates and registers are rendered consistently and precisely, so that misinterpretation and delay are avoided.
